Solutions Engineer

Itential is the leading platform for automation and orchestration within network and infrastructure domains. We enable enterprises and service providers to automate their operations through both deterministic and agentic orchestration — giving operators precise control where it’s needed and intelligent automation where it’s possible. The Solutions Engineer plays a key role in delivering automation and orchestrated solutions within Itential’s Professional Services team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in professional services, systems integration, or technical consulting, or relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing), and Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and common integration protocols (e.g., NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC) — and familiarity with event driven platforms such as Kafka, message queues, or similar.
• Proficient with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for building, testing, and promoting automation code.
• Experience in customer-facing roles requiring quick thinking and real-time adaptability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
