Role Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified Lead Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our data infrastructure for the launch of a new product. In this key role, you will oversee the development and optimization of our pipelines and data architectures, ensuring that data is ingested, transformed, and activated efficiently across various systems.

Design, build, and maintain an evolving and high-performance data infrastructure to meet business needs. Define and implement best practices for data architecture, storage, and processing pipelines. Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and activation to ensure efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and Airbyte
  • Experience with database management systems like PostgreSQL and Snowflake, as well as a solid understanding of data modeling
  • Knowledge of data transformation tools like dbt
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms, including data service management
  • Expertise in data quality, data governance, and data management best practices
  • Experience in data science or industrializing machine learning (ML) is a plus
  • Familiarity with tools like Metabase, Hightouch, Secoda, and Terraform is an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to tackle Data Engineering challenges
  • Collaborative spirit, able to co-build solutions with other technical and business teams
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage projects efficiently while respecting deadlines and objectives
  • Experience working with AI and large language models (LLMs)
  • Expertise in data governance solutions and implementing best practices across technical teams
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
