Role Overview
The Data Scientist will manage data products, processes, and applications on the Compliance/FC Data Lakes and Cloud Environments, defining the strategy for their future evolution. The team is responsible for regulating the data environment, including platform architecture, management, and configuration, security, and data quality.
What You Will Do
The Data Scientist will perform analysis/analytics tasks on a broad range of datasets to yield insight, create analysis of data-driven product functionality, and provide insight on how a Data Analyst should learn and progress throughout the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience analysing large and complex datasets, experience with Hadoop and/or Cloud Technologies, and expertise in SQL and python scripting languages.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience analysing large and complex datasets
- Experience with Hadoop and/or Cloud Technologies
- Fluency in SQL for data analysis/analytics
- Expertise in python or other scripting languages for advanced analytics
- Working knowledge and familiarity with financial services organisations and typical customer products
- Familiarity with data security, privacy, and access considerations
- Previous experience working in a financial (or wider) crime domain desirable
- Ability to understand complex and unfamiliar problems within the role domain
- Proactively building expertise in new tooling, concepts, industry trends, and programming languages relevant to the role
