Chief Revenue Officer – High-Growth AI SaaS Company (NYC)

A venture-backed AI software company transforming how finance teams operate is looking for a commercial leader to build and lead its commercial function during a major growth phase.

This business is tackling one of the largest and most underserved markets in enterprise software, helping finance and accounting teams automate highly manual workflows using AI. Backed by leading tier-one investors and experiencing rapid ARR growth, the company is now scaling its go-to-market organisation.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced SaaS sales operator who thrives in high-growth environments.

You’ll own the revenue engine end-to-end — leading strategic deals, building the sales organisation, and partnering closely with founders to shape GTM strategy as the business scales into new markets.

The role combines:

  • Enterprise and mid-market deal leadership
  • Sales team building and coaching
  • GTM process design
  • Outbound motion development
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product and marketing

This is a high-accountability, high-autonomy environment suited to someone who enjoys operating with pace and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery through close
  • Lead complex multi-stakeholder sales processes with senior finance leaders
  • Build, hire, and mentor a high-performing sales organisation
  • Develop scalable sales processes, forecasting, and operating rhythms
  • Help evolve the GTM strategy from predominantly inbound to a balanced inbound/outbound motion
  • Partner closely with founders and leadership on messaging, positioning, and commercial strategy

Ideal Background

  • 8+ years experience in B2B SaaS sales
  • Proven success scaling revenue within a high-growth startup environment
  • Experience selling ERP, finance, accounting, or fintech solutions
  • Strong track record managing and developing sales teams
  • Comfortable selling into CFOs and finance stakeholders
  • Experience building structure and process within scaling organisations
  • Player-coach mentality — able to lead while remaining commercially hands-on
  • Prior experience helping scale revenue from early-stage ARR to meaningful growth milestones

Nice to Have

  • Accounting, audit, or finance background
  • Big 4 or CPA experience
  • Experience selling into the Office of the CFO
  • Experience building outbound or solutions/consulting functions

Package

  • Base salary: $250K–$350K
  • Double OTE structure
  • Meaningful equity package
  • Full benefits package
  • Relocation support available

  • Full-time onsite/hybrid environment
