Jr. Data Engineer

Join our data team as a Junior Data Engineer to build, maintain, and evolve our enterprise data platform, working with Azure Data Factory, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Alation Cloud, and Jira. You’ll help power analytics and reporting across the organization, develop SQL queries, views, and stored procedures, and participate in data governance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or Data Warehousing.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL experience is a big plus).
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric (or similar ETL/ELT tools like SSIS, Talend, or Fivetran).
• Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology preferred).
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses is a plus.
• Exposure to Power BI and/or Tabular Editor is highly valued.
• Interest in data governance, metadata management, and tools like Alation Cloud.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or similar) is a plus.
• Exposure to data quality, lineage, or catalog tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
