Role Overview

The Customer Success Manager will own the customer’s technical journey with OpenObserve, working alongside sales during proofs of concept, taking pilots through to full deployment, and ensuring customers get what they bought OpenObserve for and stay with the company for years.

What You Will Do

The role involves working with customers to understand their architecture, providing technical guidance, building trust with engineers and leaders, and owning escalations. The Customer Success Manager will also write the POC templates, onboarding guides, and training content that make the next customer faster than the last.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate is part engineer, part consultant, part diplomat, with 4+ years of experience in a technical role, and a strong understanding of observability tools and cloud infrastructure. They should be able to debug an ingestion pipeline and talk a frustrated VP through a renewal, and be interested in both technical and customer-facing aspects of the job.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in a technical role such as software engineering, SRE, DevOps, support engineering, or solutions engineering
  • real observability experience

  • communicates clearly in writing and in person with hands-on engineers and with executives
  • has commercial sense or wants to build it
  • is organized
