Financial Operations – Accountant

Role Overview

The Accountant will perform various accounting tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, and cash receipts processing, under the supervision of the Accounting Manager. The position will also ensure timely and accurate posting of employees’ time in the corresponding timekeeping system.

What You Will Do

The Accountant will review and analyze timekeeping entries, process semi-monthly payroll and accounting entries, and research and resolve questions from managers and employees. They will also participate in the development and improvement of financial systems and provide year-end support of auditor requirements.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree, 3-5 years of experience, and payroll experience or a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification. They will also have strong PC skills, including high proficiency in Excel, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years of experience
• Payroll experience or a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
• Experience with ADP payroll and timekeeping systems
• Experience with Abila’s MIP accounting system
• Strong PC skills, including high proficiency in Excel
• Ability to learn systems quickly
• Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions from employees and managers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
• Disciplined and detail-oriented individual able to work under tight deadlines at times
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines
• Strong work ethics and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to analyze, investigate, and correct payroll, timekeeping, and accounting entries
