Role Overview
The Sales Manager works to maximize sales occupancy and rates in conjunction with hotel operations to increase profits by increasing room sales and generating business through aggressive sales efforts.
What You Will Do
Conduct a successful, aggressive solicitation process involving outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone calls, individual letter and direct mail. Assist the Director of Sales in the preparation of the annual marketing plan, including the action plans covering assigned market segments.

- experience with, or strong interest in, diplomatic and government-related accounts
- familiarity with wholesale and tour operator channels, including rate loading and production tracking
- strong prospecting, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- ability to analyze account production and translate opportunities into sales action
- knowledge of the Washington, DC corporate, diplomatic, and wholesale travel markets preferred
- experience with Opera and Agency360 preferred
- self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing goals and priorities across two properties
