Senior Data Scientist

Senior Data Scientist job description: lead data science projects, build innovative data science that power online retail business, work with Data Science team to drive revenue and enhance personalized shopping experiences. Work location: Boston, MA office and home office within commuting distance. Salary: $154,606-$164,606.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field
• 2 years of experience in an occupation with advanced data analytics
• Industry or academic experience delivering software development, machine learning, and data science projects end-to-end
• Strong knowledge of system design, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices
• Demonstrated fluency in Python and SQL and background producing clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Background using Spark and AWS ecosystem, Infrastructure as code tools including Cloudformation and Terraform, working with structured and unstructured data and table design, and working in an agile environment producing deliverables in a quick and iterative manner
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of: recommendation systems, NLP/LLMs, computer vision, or predictive modeling for consumer-facing applications
• Background using modern ML frameworks including PyTorch and/or TensorFlow, and using GPU-accelerated training
• Track record leading research initiatives, including the ability to translate complex academic research papers into functional, production-ready code to solve real-world business problems
• Track record of excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a close-knit team with a collaborative spirit
