Data Analyst / Business Analyst – Health and Human Services

Role Overview

S2Tech is seeking a Data Analyst / Business Analyst with 5-10 years of experience to support an Illinois HFS engagement. The role combines data analysis, business analysis, and training development. The analyst will review current business processes, document them with process flows, and identify areas for improvement.

What You Will Do

The analyst will build reports and dashboards, work with IT development teams on requirements and testing, and create PowerPoint training modules that teach the business processes to staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5-10 years of combined experience as a Data Analyst and as a Business Analyst
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting tools such as Business Objects and SQL
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI and the ability to present findings
• Technical expertise with data models, database design and development, and data mining techniques
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to filter and clean data and to locate and correct code problems
• Experience building training modules in PowerPoint for business processes
• Proficiency with SharePoint, SharePoint Lists, and Teams
• Practical experience with the Microsoft tools suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
