Role Overview
The Director of Sales Engineering leads a geographically distributed team of Sales Engineers supporting enterprise and government customers. This role partners closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, deliver technically sound solutions, and ensure a strong customer experience from pre-sale through activation.
What You Will Do
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers providing pre-sales technical support, partner with regional Sales leadership, serve as a key liaison between Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Product teams, and oversee solution design for complex opportunities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Telecommunications certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MEF)
- 8+ years in telecom pre-sales technical roles or 3+ years in Sales Engineering leadership
- Strong knowledge of fiber networks, metro Ethernet, transport delivery, IP services, SD-WAN, voice solutions, and cloud environments
- Solid understanding of the OSI model, network design, and telecom installation workflows
- Experience with financial modeling, ROI calculations, pricing, and profitability analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and mapping/GIS tools
