Data Scientist

Role Overview

The Data Scientist will build and productionize data science and machine learning solutions for Sia’s clients across the Middle East, from data acquisition and exploration through modelling, evaluation, and presentation of results to client stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Tasks may include data acquisition and exploration, building and evaluating predictive models, creating dashboards and visualizations, presenting findings to client stakeholders, and collaborating with engineering and product teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a quantitative field, 4-6 years’ experience as a data scientist, and proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics or Engineering)
• 4 to 6 years’ experience as a data scientist or in a comparable applied machine learning role
• Strong Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of machine learning and statistical techniques
• Demonstrable experience of taking models from exploration to production
• Experience with data acquisition, exploration, modelling, and evaluation on large structured and unstructured datasets
• Experience with data pipelines and data ecosystem management
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
• Experience presenting results to client stakeholders, with strong problem-solving and business acumen
• Certification in AI/ML, data science or a cloud platform is a plus
• Professional proficiency in English is a must; Arabic is a plus
