About Sibel Health
With headquarters based in Chicago, IL and an international office in Seoul, South Korea, Sibel Health is an award-winning digital health startup with a mission to deliver Better Health Data for All®. Founded out of a Northwestern University Biotechnology lab, with a specific focus on pregnant persons and babies, where wireless monitoring has the potential to do the most good worldwide.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a sales-first Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our founder CEO, as a member of the executive team, and crack the go-to-market for the ANNE® platform in U.S. health systems. This is a 0-to-1 role, not a scale-a-mature-org role. Your first job is to sell – personally, in the field – until we have a proven, repeatable motion. This is a player-coach role in the truest sense.
What You Will Be Working On
Sell – Personally Carry the Bag (the Player)
- Own a personal number. In your first 12 months you are the primary closer: you will source, advance, and sign early enterprise deals with health systems yourself, in partnership with the CEO.
- Generate pipeline through direct, high-volume outbound and relationship selling – calling on CMOs, CNOs, CFOs, VBC and innovation leaders.
- Run the full cycle hands-on: discovery, clinical and economic business case, POC / pilot design and execution, procurement, VAC/committee navigation, contracting, and close.
- Design and personally run pilots and proofs-of-concept that convert into paid, expandable contracts.
- Hit and report weekly and monthly activity and pipeline targets (meetings, qualified opportunities, POCs live, deals closed).
Find the Repeatable Motion – 0 to 1 With the CEO
- Work side-by-side with the founder CEO to define, test, and validate the ideal customer profile, the winning use case sequence, pricing, and the repeatable playbook.
- Codify what works into a documented revenue motion: qualification criteria, the economic/clinical value narrative, the POC-to-contract path, and the objection handling.
- Instrument the pipeline with honest, bottom-up forecasting and clear stage definitions, and own the revenue operations backbone (CRM architecture, comp plan design, deal desk).
Build and Lead the Revenue Organization (the Coach)
- Hire behind proven success – bring on enterprise AEs, clinical specialists, and marketing leadership only as the motion is validated.
- Own total revenue outcomes end to end, including the eventual build-out of customer success and renewals/expansion functions.
- Coach in the field: run deals alongside your reps, join their calls, and transfer the playbook you personally built.
- Set the standard for activity, CRM discipline, pipeline hygiene, and accountability across the revenue organization.
Marketing, Evidence & Channel (Owned as a Core Revenue Function)
- Direct and ultimately build out the marketing function as a full peer to sales – positioning, the CMO/CNO/CFO value proposition, ROI and business-case tools, and clinical evidence summaries.
- Build a focused Key Opinion Leader and reference-account program at target institutions.
- Manage and grow strategic distribution channels as accelerants to direct selling.
- Partner with Clinical Affairs and R&D to publish the outcomes data that de-risks the enterprise sale.
Executive & Board Partnership
- Serve as a member of the executive team and the primary commercial partner to the CEO and board.
- Own competitive intelligence and market sizing to sharpen targeting and pricing.
- Report directly to the CEO and represent total revenue strategy – sales, marketing, and future customer success/renewals – in board and investor settings.
About You
- You have personally taken a clinical, medical device, or health-tech product from early, founder-led deals to $5M–$10M+ in annual sales selling to U.S. health systems.
- You are a hunter first. You are energized by carrying a number, generating your own pipeline, and closing.
- You have thrived in a pre-product-market-fit, 0-to-1 environment.
- You are a genuine player-coach and eventual revenue executive with prior board-level exposure.
- You navigate 6–18 month enterprise procurement cycles, VAC/committee dynamics, and GPO/IDN contracting, and you understand hospital economics and CMS value-based programs.
- You run on activity and metrics: high call/meeting volume, disciplined CRM use, honest forecasting, and a bias toward doing over deliberating.
- You have prior experience operating at the executive level – ideally with a CRO, VP Sales, or similar title – with direct exposure to board reporting and company-wide revenue strategy.
- Experience with EHR-integrated workflow solutions and clinical evidence-based selling is a strong advantage; Epic familiarity a plus.
- 12+ years in healthcare technology, medical device, or clinical software commercial roles, including prior executive-level or head-of-revenue experience; Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.
- Excellent executive presence and board-ready communication.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
You May Thrive in This Role If
- You want to be the one who cracks it – you are excited to go 0 to 1 and personally prove a sales motion.
- You love selling and want to keep your hands on deals even as you build and lead a team.
- You want a true partnership with a founder CEO.
- You measure yourself by pipeline generated, deals closed, and the health of the revenue organization you build.
- You are mission-connected and see better patient outcomes and commercial success as the same goal.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- “Take as much time as you need” policy.
- Simple IRA plan with employer matching.
- Company sponsored events and lunches.
- Yearly stipend for professional development.
- Opportunity to be part of a dedicated and driven team that is here to disrupt and revolutionize wireless monitoring.
