Data Engineer

Role Overview

Provide technical leadership in designing, delivering, and evolving enterprise data architecture, data platforms, and AI engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• First Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Commerce or a related discipline
• Relevant professional certifications in cloud data platforms, data architecture, data engineering, data science, machine learning or AI engineering
• 8-10 years of experience in building databases, warehouses, reporting, and data integration solutions
• Experience in creating and integrating APIs, performing root cause analysis, and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Deep understanding of data pipelining and performance optimisation, data principles, and how data fits in an organisation
• Knowledge of integration patterns, styles, protocols, and systems theory
• Experience in database programming languages including SQL, PL/SQL, SPARK, and appropriate data tooling
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
