Join Statista, a global business data platform, as a Business Development Director to grow and develop the Statista+ business across the Americas. You will work closely with Account Managers, Customer Success, and Revenue Leadership to identify customer moments for custom research and service opportunities.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in B2B sales, business development, consultative sales, market research, insights, data services, or a comparable commercial role
- Proven track record of selling complex, project-based, or consultative solutions to senior stakeholders and managing opportunities from discovery to close
- Strong ability to understand client challenges, identify commercial triggers, and translate business needs into tailored research, analytics, or communication solutions
- Experience working with existing customer bases, cross-sell motions, referrals, account planning, and close collaboration with Account Management or Customer Success teams
- Strong commercial mindset with a clear focus on pipeline quality, revenue impact, forecasting discipline, and structured follow-up
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills in English, with the ability to build trust across clients, internal experts, sales teams, and leadership stakeholders
