Data Consultant – M&A Integration & Data Strategy

To support significant M&A and Integration projects across a range of domain sectors, this ongoing contract role will lead on data strategy, integration, and governance across a range of organisations, ensuring data is onboarded quickly, securely, and consistently.

Requirements

  • Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of data platforms, pipelines, and architectures across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Drive data integration across acquisitions, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and quality.
  • Define data governance frameworks covering security, compliance, quality, and lifecycle management.
  • Act as the technical authority across data architecture, engineering, analytics, and platforms.
  • Assess and rationalise inherited data estates (structured, unstructured, legacy).
  • Translate business goals into data integration and analytics roadmaps.
  • Establish repeatable data integration patterns for future acquisitions.
  • Build and lead data capability across teams and partners.
  • Deliver measurable outcomes including improved data availability and faster insights.
  • Experience designing and delivering data platforms across Azure, AWS or similar.
  • Strong data engineering, transformation and modern data platform experience.
  • Experience in regulated sectors with understanding of data governance and compliance.
  • Experience supporting M&A or large-scale data integrations.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide direction.
  • Experience defining governance frameworks including data quality and lineage.
  • Strong consultative approach and stakeholder management.
  • Commercial awareness of cost, risk, and business impact.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity.
