Senior Data Platform Engineer

Taxfix is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the infrastructure and pipelines that make data at Taxfix reliable, compliant, and ready for AI. The platform team serves many consumers analytics, ML, product, and compliance, and the successful candidate will contribute to and operate cloud platform infrastructure, build and maintain ingestion pipelines, operate and improve orchestration layer, and more.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
• Strong Python skills for data pipeline development
• Strong SQL skills – window functions, CTEs, query optimization
• Experience with event-driven data pipelines
• Expert with Airflow
• Strong Snowflake or other modern data warehouse knowledge
• Cloud platform experience – you’ve worked with GCP (GCS, Dataflow, Dataproc etc) or equivalent AWS/Azure services
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Helm, or similar tools
• K8S and Docker containerization experience
• Data quality mindset
• Data for AI readiness
• Awareness of data privacy requirements
• AI-enabled engineering practices
