The FP&A Manager will help drive accountability for financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for Terumo BCT’s global functions for Quality, Regulatory and IT. This role serves as the primary finance partner to functional leadership and is responsible for ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and decision support across new product development, sustaining engineering, and innovation investment portfolios.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
- Minimum 2 years in a people leadership or process-ownership role preferred
- Demonstrated experience partnering with R&D or engineering organizations strongly preferred
- Experience in medical device, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization
- Expert-level financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of R&D cost structures, capitalization concepts, and portfolio economics
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexity
- Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills
- Strong executive communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms preferred
- Experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive, Anaplan, OneStream)
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Demonstrated leadership, judgment, and accountability mindset
- Public AI tool competency
