Role Overview
The Financial Analyst for Commercial Finance will provide financial analysis, strategic insights, and data-driven decision support to leadership at Wonderful Pistachios. This role will focus on developing, preparing, and presenting financial data, while maintaining the organization’s price strategy through the execution of the annual price list.
What You Will Do
The position will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to evaluate business opportunities, support product launches, and communicate profitability. Assist in the maintenance and execution of annual and ad-hoc retail price list publications, collaborating with internal business partners to ensure target margins and trade strategies are achieved.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting periodic review of item expenses, maintaining financial models, and preparing financial forecasts and scenarios for New Product Development.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in FP&A or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field
- Strong preference for candidates with CPG, retail, or food and beverage experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with or a strong willingness to become proficient in Power BI, including transforming data, creating measures, and building reports
- Experience with Oracle or another large ERP system a plus
- Ability to perform financial analysis, including ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and a desire for accuracy
- Outstanding verbal/written communication, presentation, organizational and teamwork skills
- Collaborative team player, strong relationship-building, and active partnership with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytics and strategic thinking skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and entrepreneurial spirit to meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact with department leadership and senior executives in a confident and professional manner
- Comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
