Financial Planning & Analysis Manager | Hybrid NYC (3 Days)

A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join its finance team. This is a highly visible position that will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic initiatives.

The role offers significant exposure to executive leadership and will manage one direct report.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and ongoing financial planning
• Develop financial models, forecasts, and management reporting
• Analyze business performance, financial trends, KPIs, and variances
• Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Prepare financial presentations and analyses for senior leadership
• Analyze operating expenses, identify key cost drivers, and highlight opportunities for efficiencies
• Support cash forecasting and broader planning initiatives
• Partner with teams across the organization on financial and strategic projects
• Build and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Support finance transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives
• Improve reporting, data quality, processes, and overall efficiency
• Perform ad hoc financial and strategic analysis
• Manage and mentor one finance professional

Qualifications

• 6+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, management reporting, or related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analytical skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience with reporting automation, systems implementations, or process improvements preferred
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Power Query, or similar tools is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
