About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer for Specialty Care to serve as the senior clinical leader for the employed specialty physician and advanced practitioner enterprise. The CMO-SC will be responsible for a wide range of clinical and operational activities, including clinical quality, safety, patient experience, workforce engagement, program development, and the operational and financial performance of the specialty care division. This role demands a leader with a strong background in clinical practice, a minimum of 5-7 years' in senior clinical leadership, and a proven track record of working across community hospital and academic medical center boundaries. The ideal candidate will have a nuanced understanding of ambulatory specialty operations, experience in leading business development and service line growth, and a strong background in quality, safety, patient experience, and value-based care. The role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, strong leadership, and the ability to foster organizational trust and provider followership. The CMO-SC will be expected to partner with various stakeholders, including the CMO for Primary Care, the COO, and the CFO, and to represent the specialty care division in external forums.
