About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, sales-savvy professional based in the East Coast Metropolitan Region (New York, New Jersey, or Philadelphia) to lead the commercial efforts for our Countable PCR platform. You’ll be at the forefront of introducing a new technology to market—bringing creativity, technical know-how, and genuine customer focus to every interaction. If you have experience selling new technologies, particularly in instrumentation and consumable sales, and you’re excited by the challenge of developing new business, we’d love to meet you. Experience in biopharma, especially with gene therapy or oncology applications, is required.

Reporting to VP, Global Sales, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Discover & Close New Business: Identify and nurture leads, turning opportunities into lasting partnerships.
  • Be a Great Ambassador: Represent Countable Labs at meetings, demonstrations, and scientific conferences with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Build Lasting Relationships: Develop strong customer connections to ensure our products are used effectively, driving ongoing success post-sale.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work hand-in-hand with our field application scientists and product managers during technical calls and demos.
  • Communicate Our Value: Ensure customers fully understand our unique value proposition, features, and competitive advantages, while also gathering feedback to help us continuously improve.
  • Track & Report: Provide monthly KPI updates and accurate sales forecasts for both instruments and consumables.
  • Manage Your Pipeline: Use SFDC to oversee all active leads, opportunities, and customer relationships, using dashboards to track progress.
  • Act as team leader in a potential player/coach role if there is existing prior experience in people management.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in a relevant sales role.
  • Comfort using SFDC or a similar CRM.
  • Experience in Biopharma sales, especially CGT and Oncology therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstration of existing relationships, with examples of specific deals closed in strategic accounts
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in complex purchasing environments with multiple decision-makers.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% (including occasional overnight trips).
  • A base in NYC, Philadelphia or New Jersey
  • Attend regional conferences, and meetings, organize local seminars and events to foster new relationships, and strengthen opportunity funnel.

Compensation

We’re excited to offer a competitive compensation package for this full-time role. In addition to your base salary, you’ll also be eligible for our Variable Commission Plan (quarterly payout – NO CAP!), as well as comprehensive health and retirement benefits to keep you supported every step of the way.

At Countable Labs, we’re not just a team—we’re a community committed to pushing the boundaries of science and making precision medicine a reality for everyone. If you’re excited to make a tangible impact in genomics and help us revolutionize the field, we’d love to hear from you.
