We are looking for a detail-oriented, process-driven Financial Operations Analyst to support our Controller. This role will focus initially on overseeing and improving the initial phase of the accounts payable cycle, specifically invoice entry, while ensuring compliance with firm policies. You will manage the accounts payable email inbox and serve as the point of contact for assigning emails and addressing inquiries about invoice status.
In this position, you will closely collaborate with the Accounts Payable Coordinator during the final phase of the accounts payable cycle, particularly regarding payments. You will also drive continuous process improvements and enhance internal controls.
Over time, you will also support ongoing operations and improvement processes across our Finance and Operations Teams. The role offers strong growth potential, as we are rapidly evolving with the adoption of new technologies and related workflows.
The ideal candidate is proactive, has a strong operational mindset, and possesses excellent technical skills. You should also be capable of modernizing and automating accounts payable workflows in a complex professional services environment.
- Must be in NYC office 4 days per week
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Prior law firm or professional services experience is required
- Experience with Aderant is a plus
- SQL experience is a plus
- Salary range: $90,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
