Stable and growing organization in Palm Beach County is seeking a Director of FP&A to own the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning functions. This individual will serve as a key strategic advisor to senior leadership, ensuring financial data is accurate, timely, and actionable. Beyond the numbers, this role is expected to drive continuous improvement across the FP&A function and actively contribute to capital allocation strategy and enterprise decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast cycles, ensuring accuracy, compliance with internal policies, and timely delivery to senior management.
- Analyze and evaluate company-wide financial performance and translate findings into executive-ready reports that directly inform strategic decision-making and capital allocation.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders and cross-functional business heads, delivering financial insight and recommendations that sharpen performance against financial objectives.
- Oversee the financial planning platform to confirm that planning methodologies are sound, reporting cadences are met, and the analytical output is meaningful and decision-ready.
- Build, lead, and develop the FP&A team, setting a high standard for financial rigor, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare Board of Directors materials covering operating performance, guidance ranges, and budget and forecast results.
- Identify and pursue business enhancement opportunities in partnership with other functional areas across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and upgrade FP&A tools and systems to drive automation, reduce manual effort, and raise the quality and speed of financial output.
- Support special projects and additional responsibilities as priorities evolve across the business.
Background Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 8-12 years of progressive FP&A experience with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility.
- Strong financial modeling skills; must build financial models from scratch
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, execute complex assignments on time, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and self-discipline in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable conducting policy research and preparing clear, concise reports on financial and operational matters.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out complex analytical and budgetary instructions and translate them into actionable deliverables.
