Manager, Provider Data Operations (Insurance)

Our company, Zocdoc, is looking for a Manager, Provider Data Operations to shape the backbone of our provider data ecosystem. This role will involve building high-performing teams, scalable processes, and cross-functional systems to enable rapid marketplace expansion and world-class data quality. The ideal candidate will have 9-12 years of experience in data/business operations, analytics, or research, with at least 2-3 years of managing and coaching people. They will also have a strong working knowledge of the US health insurance landscape and experience scaling teams and operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a reputed institution with a strong academic record.
• 9-12 years of experience in data/business operations, analytics, or research, with at least 2-3 years managing and coaching people (10+ direct or indirect reports) in operations or customer service teams
• Strong working knowledge of the US health insurance landscape including but not limited to; Major commercial/individual/private payers and government programs (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
• Knowledge across key definitions and concepts: networks like HMO, PPO, EPO, HDHP, referrals and in-network vs out-of-network care
• Provider data constructs: NPI, taxonomy, TIN, group vs individual enrollment, multi-site practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets including Google AppScripts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; strong customer-service orientation.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
