Data Engineer

Role Overview

The Data Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary team whose objective is to generate insight from existing operational and technical data sets, as well as develop tools and use advanced analytics to extract the maximum value from them. The role will involve designing and developing data solutions that meet the need of operations and end users, improving and streamlining operational processes, and increasing profitability of the business.

What You Will Do

Design optimized data models from various data sources to meet business needs, develop and implement processes for data acquisition, ingestion, and extraction, build ELT pipelines, provide technical review and feedback, perform data modeling, and implement data quality checks and validations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent Data Engineering training and experience, 5+ years’ related work experience, proficiency in languages and software frameworks commonly used in data manipulation and analysis, knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.

Requirements
