Alation is looking for a team-oriented, high-impact Senior Financial Analyst (GTM) who can stand out as a strategic business leader. This role will report to the Director of Finance.
This senior analyst with be responsible for supporting our financial planning process, reporting on KPIs, and financial results, and leveraging financial modeling to support strategic initiatives.
It is essential that this person will need a strong work ethic, high professional standards, and the capacity to get things done independently and with limited oversight.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partner with Sales & Marketing in understanding key drivers to improve revenue growth and maximize go-to-market efficiency
- Develop financial models from scratch to support strategic initiatives, including partnerships, pricing, and new go-to-market models
- Proactively monitor and analyze trends of key operational and financial performance indicators, including optimizing the marketing funnel
- Own preparation of various presentations, models, and ad hoc analyses to the Executive Team
- Maintain and improve FP&A activities around monthly reporting, company model actualization, variance commentary, and forecasting
- Adhere to FP&A best practices, driving efficiency and reporting accuracy through process improvement and system implementation
Who You Are:
- 3-5 years of related work experience in a SaaS environment, preferably with a focus on go-to-market
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the foundations of finance/accounting.
- A high degree of intelligence, natural curiosity, and a strong work ethic.
- Strong financial modeling experience and a willingness to dig into the details
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and G-suite.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems including financial software applications (experience with NetSuite and Adaptive is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in parallel.
$100,000 – $130,000 a year
The base salary range is specific to the United States. The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, work location, specialty, and training. If the final candidate has a different level of experience, the base salary target range may be lower or higher than what is published.
