Data Scientist

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a strong analytical mindset to join our Tech organization. The team drives the logic that powers a trustworthy and competitive marketplace, specializing in data solutions focused on driving growth for our sellers. We work in close collaboration with developers and product teams across the entire project lifecycle.

What You Will Do

Co-create projects from concept to productization, deliver insights and models solving business problems, and work with a wide range of model types, including boosting models, Bayesian methods, and deep learning.

You will have a significant impact on one of the largest eCommerce platforms in the world, develop AI tools from prototypes to large production solutions, and work with experienced Data Scientists and access to huge data sets and the latest data processing technologies.

Requirements

• Experience in data analysis using SQL and building machine learning solutions in production environments
• Ability to translate business challenges into ML problems
• Clear communication with business units
• Experience with ML and AI (especially LLMs)
• Highly independent and strong work organization
• Programming in Python and efficient use of basic development tools
• Understanding of statistical and machine learning methods
• Embracing modern tooling, specifically possessing practical and theoretical knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI principles
