Role Overview
Ameren IL Key Account Executive is responsible for developing strong working relationships with large industrial and commercial customers to improve customer services and enhance profitability. This role operates within Ameren Illinois’ Economic Development organization, focusing on Business Retention and Expansion (BRE).
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include acting as a single point of contact between Ameren and Key Customers, managing large Ameren construction and maintenance projects, and partnering with local communities to support business retention and expansion efforts.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Engineering, Business, Accounting or related field
- MBA preferred
- Five or more years of relevant experience (utility, rates, financial, etc.)
- Three years of relevant relationship management, engineering, accounting, sales and/or customer service experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite of applications
- Strong Excel skills, maneuverability within SharePoint Site and Ameren customer portals preferred
- Understanding of Ameren rates and Illinois’ regulatory environment preferred
- Thorough knowledge of CSS, OAS, Ameren Portals, and Byers mapping preferred
- Knowledge in the basic concepts of electricity and natural gas
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, solve problems, analytical skills, make decisions and be proactive
- Strong communicator that shows attention to details
- Strong presentation, oral and written communications skills required
