Role Overview
The Sales Manager will provide leadership and oversight of the sales department, including primary management coverage during the Sales Manager’s scheduled days off. This leader will assist with interviewing and candidate selection, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management for in-home sales representatives.
What You Will Do
The Sales Manager will oversee the performance of our retail alliance partnerships and lead generation program, including hiring, training, coaching, and managing retail lead generators, maintaining relationships with retail store leadership, and using KPIs and performance data to maximize staffing, store presence, lead volume, conversion, and overall results.

Requirements
- Proven experience leading and coaching an in-home sales team, preferably within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home improvement, or another in-home service industry
- Experience interviewing, selecting, hiring, onboarding, training, and managing sales professionals
- Experience managing retail lead generators, brand ambassadors, retail sales representatives, or a similar customer-facing team
- Demonstrated success improving sales performance and measurable business results
- Strong knowledge of sales KPIs, including lead conversion, close rate, average ticket, revenue, and individual representative performance
- Ability to use dashboards, reports, staffing data, and performance trends to make informed decisions
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and performance-management skills
- Ability to provide confident leadership and make sound decisions when the branch Sales Manager is unavailable
- Ability to build productive relationships with retail partners, store leadership, employees, and branch management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple teams, locations, and priorities
- Comfortable dividing time among the branch office, the field, and retail partner stores
- Availability to work evenings and weekends based on business needs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout the Boston market
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools
