Role Overview

Aspen Publishing is seeking a strategic, collaborative marketing leader for the role of Associate Director, Product Marketing (Legal Education). This senior position leads product marketing strategy focused on driving faculty adoption of key titles, strengthening product positioning, and supporting long-term portfolio growth.

Develop go-to-market strategies that maximize impact and keep Aspen’s products aligned with the evolving needs of legal educators and institutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree or J.D. preferred
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in product marketing, publishing, higher education marketing, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of legal education, faculty adoption processes, academic publishing, or higher education markets strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market and product marketing strategies
  • Experience partnering with Editorial, Product Management, or Product Development teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop strategic product positioning and differentiated messaging for complex product portfolios
  • Experience creating sales enablement strategies and tools that improve commercial performance
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to influence business strategy
  • Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, project management, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation systems, analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel domestically as business needs require
