Data Scientists at Atlassian partner with product, engineering, and business teams to turn massive amounts of platform data into actionable decisions.
What You Will Do
Develop data-driven hypotheses, analyze rich user interaction and telemetry datasets, translate business questions into analytical approaches, and communicate results to broad audiences.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled full time in a Masters program in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, Computer Science or Equivalent and graduating by August 2027.
- Proficiency with SQL or other query languages and experience with Python or R for statistical computing, data analysis and predictive modeling.
- Understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, experimental design (A/B testing) or machine learning fundamentals.
- Proficiency in visualization tools (e.g. Streamlit, Tableau, R-shiny) and libraries (e.g. matplotlib, bokeh).
- Demonstrated practical experience through internships, academic research, open-source contributions, or a portfolio of data projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey quantitative insights to both technical and non-technical teammates.
