Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Scientist Manager to join the Data Science and Advanced Analytics discipline in BBVA Mexico. The successful candidate will lead data projects from start to finish, developing and evolving cognitive solutions and digital measurement to understand customer behavior, optimize digital navigation, and strengthen strategic decision-making.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of the position will be to develop and evolve the digital analytics and data science proposal of value in the organization, identifying optimization opportunities in the digital ecosystem, structuring AI/Machine Learning models that respond to business objectives, and ensuring the integral execution of solutions with a constant balance between user experience, data quality, model precision, and commercial value.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Systems, Computational Science, Industrial Engineering, Quantitative Economics, or related areas.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, Web Analytics, or marketing analytics.
- At least 2 years leading analytical projects or technical teams and 3 years in data digital instrumentation and exploitation.
- Advanced mastery of Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, LightGBM), advanced SQL, Big Data (PySpark, Spark, Databricks, Hive, Hadoop), predictive modeling, and econometrics.
- Management of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tag Managers, Appsflyer, clickstream, data layer, funnels, conversion, attribution, and first-party data strategies.
- Practical use of LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, AWS Bedrock), Prompt Engineering, agents, and RAG architectures.
- Experience in tools like Tableau, Quicksight, Looker Studio, or MicroStrategy, and Python libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
- Intermediate-advanced English (B2 minimum).
