Pre-Sales Technology Engineer

Role Overview

As a Pre-Sales Technology Engineer, you will strengthen and grow Bloomberg’s business within the APAC region. You’ll join a global team responsible for technical strategy, consultation, and multi-product workflow design. You will help drive the direction of products, collaborating with Business Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers based on client feedback, market research, and conditions.

What You Will Do

You will partner with Account Management to further multi-product technical engagements, develop and manage key customer relationships, coordinate the full enterprise sales process, and respond to RFP’s. You will also need to understand technology, competitors, or alternatives and position our products’ advantages.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You should have a good understanding of sell-side and buy-side workflows, including decision support, execution, position management, middle office, and settlements. You will need to have a highly proactive approach and confidence in sales approach and strategy, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience across any system integration / data transformation technologies
• Minimum 3 years of Financial Markets knowledge with basic understanding of buy & sell-side order management workflows and business processes
• Minimum 3 years of client-facing experience in support, project management, pre-sales or sales capacity
• Ability to abstract (model) a company’s business activities, reconstruct them and choose which information technology can be applied
• Solid understanding of the trading technologies used in the capital markets industry
• Highly proactive approach and confidence in sales approach and strategy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
• Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications
• Fluent or business level Japanese
