Financial Analyst – Accounting

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will gather, analyze, and interpret financial and accounting data for the department, performing various accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and analytical functions. The role requires strong technical knowledge, innovative problem solving, and initiative to support the department’s financial operations.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include developing and enhancing systems, preparing journal entries, analyzing financial data, and performing complex account and transaction reconciliations. The Financial Analyst will also assist in implementing Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements and maintaining the chart of accounts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• 2 years related experience, municipal accounting experience preferred
