Role Overview
Drive business development efforts within the Industrials team, leveraging market discovery and expertise to match facility capabilities with market needs. Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Product, and Operations.
What You Will Do
Identify, qualify, and win new business by connecting with key customer stakeholders, developing a rigorous understanding of their needs, and creating solutions that leverage Divert’s offerings. Ensure a successful transition to customer success.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- 2 – 4 years of experience in business development, customer acquisition, and project execution
- 2 – 4 years of experience in the energy, recycling, food & beverage, and/or transportation industries
- Valid driver’s license required for travel
- Very strong communication skills with empathy for different audiences’ needs
- Demonstrated success with data analysis in a commercial / business development context
- Detail oriented, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a larger, cross-functional team
- Comfort with standard business tools, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in physical operations, e.g., plant operations, manufacturing, or similar
- Ambiguity-seeking with the ability to build customer pipelines, cultivate relationships and close deals
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth context with numerous internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability and/or boots-on-the-ground industry experience
- Experience with solution sales of liquid (DAF / SAF sludge) waste, palletized waste, or physical operations, e.g., plant operations, manufacturing, or similar
