Director, US Business Development – Defense & Security

Role Overview

The Director, US Business Development – Defense & Security will manage and coordinate sales activities and campaigns related to company military aircraft and programs in the United States, Canada, and FMS. This role will develop and execute comprehensive win strategies for assigned campaigns, lead the new business capture process, and oversee the management of US & Canada opportunity pipeline.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will manage local marketing activities, direct the development of short- and long-term objectives, monitor defense acquisition activities, and develop campaign strategies. They will also lead formal proposal efforts, secure contracts, and advise senior management on status or action required in connection with existing and potential sales programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration or economics
• Strong experience (>15 years) in management of military aircraft sales activities
• Extensive knowledge of the US military acquisition process
• Experience in working with or for U.S. defense primes and OEMs
• Certification in Capture/Business Development from Shipley & Associates or similar is preferred
• Active secret security clearance (or higher) or ability to reactivate if inactive
