Senior Security Technical Account Manager

Role Overview

The Senior Security Technical Account Manager will serve as the primary security point of contact for a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers, supporting their security goals and strengthening long-term partnerships between customers and Fastly.

The role involves building deep relationships with customer security, engineering, and leadership teams, acting as a technical and strategic security advisor at both tactical and executive levels.

Requirements

• 8+ years in customer-facing technical roles (TAM, Sales Engineering, Support, or Professional Services) supporting enterprise customers, ideally in cloud, CDN, or application security environments
• Strong expertise in application and web security, including WAFs, bot mitigation, DDoS protection, OWASP Top 10, and API security
• Solid understanding of the internet and application fundamentals, including HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, BGP, and modern application architectures
• Proven ability to move from reactive support to proactive security guidance, improving customer security posture and long-term outcomes
• Trusted advisor mindset with strong customer empathy, capable of engaging both technical teams and executive stakeholders
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Go, or similar) to improve workflows and efficiency is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English required
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements
