Role Overview

Join the Market Oversight Directorate to play a key part in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of UK finance services. As a Markets Data Engineer, you’ll leverage high-performance pipelines of trading and position data to deliver specialist services, intelligence, and casework across UK markets.

What You Will Do

Transform millions of daily records into model-ready datasets for risk and market analysis, build interactive dashboards and web apps, and empower market abuse, policy, and supervisory teams to make informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of analysing, joining, validating commercial and regulatory data
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools and libraries (Pandas, PySpark, etc)
  • Demonstrable data science or engineering experience within a financial markets context, using SQL (Redshift) and Python
  • Understanding of financial markets
  • Experienced in developing user-friendly analytical products
