Role Overview
We are GDIT, a global technology and professional services company that delivers technology solutions and mission services to every major agency across the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence community. We are seeking a Data Scientist to support customer activities and apply statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning to human performance, behavioral health, and readiness data.
What You Will Do
The Data Scientist will query, clean, transform, and prepare data from the Government-designated Human Performance System of Record and other Government-approved sources for analysis. They will develop, validate, and document predictive and prescriptive models, forecasting methods, clustering, and other advanced statistical techniques to generate actionable forecasts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline, minimum of one year of experience applying data science or statistical methods to real-world problems, and demonstrated proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
Requirements

- Demonstrated proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning
- Working knowledge of applied statistics and of supervised and unsupervised machine-learning methods
- Ability to prepare and clean data for analysis
- Experience producing visual analytics and reports for decision-makers
