Role Overview
General Matter is looking for a Financial Analyst to run the day-to-day finance operations, leading accounts payable, owning procure-to-pay and spend platform, and building reports for leadership.
What You Will Do
The Financial Analyst will process vendor invoices, keep payments on time, resolve issues with suppliers and internal teams, produce weekly reporting, and build department and company spend projections.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or a related analytical role (internships included)
- Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information
- Ability to explain financial terms and tradeoffs clearly to engineers and other non-finance teams
- Advanced Excel skills, including building financial models, forecasts, and variance analysis from scratch
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for automating reporting
- CPA or CMA progress is a plus
