Finance Systems Software Engineer – AI

Role Overview

Halter is looking for a Finance Systems Software Engineer – AI to push the company’s finance tech stack further, focusing on NetSuite and EPM tools, and layering AI-powered automation on top. The role requires experience shipping automation or AI-powered tools into production and supporting them once live, with a good feel for where AI helps a process and where it just adds noise.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will design, build, and deploy finance automations using enterprise AI tools, track native AI capabilities, partner with FP&A and accounting to scope opportunities, and contribute to broader finance systems work.

Requirements

• Experience shipping automation or AI-powered tools into production and supporting them once live
• Some background or genuine interest in accounting and finance, with a willingness to help during busy periods
• A good feel for where AI helps a process and where it just adds noise
• A track record of owning work from scoping and testing through to delivery and maintenance
• Comfort with a role that’s still taking shape—you’ll help define it
• Strong communication skills and patience with people who don’t speak your technical language
