Role Overview

As a Sales Engineer in Tokyo, you will drive sales activities within the assigned territory, achieve sales and profit targets, and contribute to business growth while enhancing customer satisfaction. You will develop and implement sales strategies and action plans for the assigned territory, maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, and build long-term partnerships.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing quotations, conducting contract negotiations, and managing order processes to achieve sales targets. You will also collect and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback, and share insights internally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (Engineering or Business-related major preferred)
  • 5 years’ sales experience in technical sales, marketing and/or business development roles with experience in the heavy machinery industry / capital goods
  • Basic knowledge of machinery, industrial equipment, or engineering is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel when required
  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Negotiation and presentation skills
  • Familiar with ERP and have experience using one of those
