Retail & EC Sales Manager (Motorola)

Role Overview

The Japanese smartphone market has been dominated by Apple and major Android manufacturers for a long time. Motorola aims to establish itself as the third position in this structure within three years. Another premise is AI. The evolution of AI is changing the way smartphones are used and the value that users feel, and new types of AI devices are emerging.

What You Will Do

Expand and implement open market and SIM-free model sales strategies, negotiate and expand business with distributors, electronics retailers, and MVNOs, design and integrate prices, inventory, and timing, strengthen EC and direct sales, expand sales on Amazon, Rakuten, and Yahoo! malls, launch and expand direct sales, measure and improve online strategies, analyze and design sales promotions, plan and implement training for distributors and store staff, analyze and report sales performance, inventory, and competitive prices, plan, distribute, and settle budgets, collaborate and coordinate with product, marketing, supply chain, and global headquarters teams.

Requirements

• Experience in communication, terminal vendor, or agent business (5 years or more)
• Sales experience in retail or online channels
• Ability to analyze sales data and apply it to sales promotion
• Sales planning ability — design and execute strategies, and hold people inside and outside the company
• Communication ability to smoothly advance with internal and external stakeholders
• Basic communication ability in English
• Experience in starting or managing online business
• Experience in expanding sales on EC malls (Amazon, Rakuten, etc.)
• Experience in building direct-to-consumer (D2C) and direct sales channels
• Experience in smartphone OEM, MVNO, MNO, and mobile terminal distribution
• Experience in P/L management
• Experience in global companies or startup environments
