Data Scientist (US Value & Access Insights)

Join Amgen’s mission of serving patients as a Data Scientist (US Value & Access Insights). Develop and deploy advanced machine learning, operational research, and statistical methods to uncover structure in large data sets. Collaborate with global teams on AI tool roadmaps and work on proprietary AI engine upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, or STEM majors
• 3 to 6 years of computer science, statistics, or STEM majors experience, or
• 2 years of Information Systems experience with one or more analytic software tools or languages like R and Python
• Foundational understanding of US pharmaceutical ecosystem and Patient support services offerings
• Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms and techniques
• Experience in statistical techniques and hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, and classification
• Experience in MLOps practices and tools, DevOps tools, Python, and ML libraries
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with data engineering, pipeline development, NLP techniques, time-series data analysis, and cloud platforms
• Professional certifications in AWS Developer, Python, and ML
• Soft skills in initiative, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and self-motivation
