Role Overview

The Commodity Risk & Financial Analyst will execute daily commodity risk management processes, generate and maintain commodity exposure reports, and support liquidity forecasting and reporting. The role will also develop financial models, deliver P&L attribution analysis, and conduct scenario analysis to evaluate financial impacts.

The role will also develop financial models, deliver P&L attribution analysis, and conduct scenario analysis to evaluate financial impacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Financial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related analytical field
  • Strong understanding of global commodity markets, trading, hedging, valuation methodologies, and risk management principles
  • Experience supporting commodity risk management, treasury, commodity trading, market risk, financial planning, product control, or commodity finance organizations
  • Experience developing financial models that combine commodity pricing, sourcing assumptions, exposure forecasts, hedge results, and business drivers to assess P&L impacts
  • Experience with commodity exposure reporting, Mark-to-Market valuation, trade reconciliation, hedge effectiveness testing, financial controls, and P&L attribution analysis
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and deliver actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SQL, Python, VBA, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical and reporting tools
  • Experience with CTRM systems, ERP platforms, financial reporting systems, and market data providers preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data validation, reconciliation, valuation, financial analysis, and reporting in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to challenge discrepancies, improve processes, and recommend solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success operating within complex matrix organizations and collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
