Sales Operations & Business Intelligence Leadership

The Sales Operations & Business Intelligence Lead is responsible for driving execution excellence across the Sales organization through best-in-class forecasting, performance tracking, scorecard governance, and actionable business insights.

This role serves as the key connection point between Sales, Demand, Supply, and Finance to ensure alignment against Mars Petcare’s commercial and supply chain strategy. The individual will lead sales forecasting governance, monitor execution against key business KPIs, and develop scorecards and tracking mechanisms that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across the organization.

The role combines strategic business insight with operational rigor to identify risks, opportunities, and performance gaps while enabling teams to execute with greater precision and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the governance and continuous improvement of sales forecasting and consensus processes to improve forecast accuracy, business alignment, and execution effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain sales performance scorecards, KPI tracking tools, and reporting frameworks to monitor execution against key business objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations through analysis of sales, customer, category, and POS trends to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Establish clear performance tracking and accountability routines across Sales to ensure execution excellence against key growth drivers and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Demand, Supply, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on forecast assumptions, customer drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead business performance reviews by identifying gaps to plan, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve delivery against financial and operational targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, processes, and tools to simplify ways of working, improve efficiency, and enhance business visibility.
  • Support constrained supply decision-making through data-driven prioritization and customer impact assessment.
  • Ensure strong data integrity, consistency, and fiscal discipline across forecasting and business tracking processes.
  • Provide strategic support and recommendations to Sales leadership through performance analytics and business insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align commercial execution with inventory, supply, and financial objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between Sales and Digital/IT teams to support adoption and optimization of business tools and reporting capabilities.
  • Influence cross-functional alignment by translating complex data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably a BA/BS in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain, etc.
  • CPG experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical and business insight capabilities with experience translating data into action.
  • Experience developing KPI scorecards, reporting frameworks, and performance tracking mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, demand planning, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and operate effectively in ambiguity.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Finance, Demand, and Supply functions.
