Commercial Insurance Marketing Account Executive

Role Overview

As a Marketing Account Executive on the Commercial Lines team, you’ll lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business, support Producer in sales activities, and serve as a consultative point of contact for clients.

What You Will Do

You’ll identify and understand client needs, provide recommendations with supporting rationale, demonstrate strong negotiation skills, respond to Request of Proposals, participate in prospect meetings, direct and lead mid-year reviews, and work closely with national leadership to drive LOB strategy and initiatives.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We’re looking for someone with six years of commercial insurance industry experience, a Property and Casualty insurance license, and experience marketing and servicing large commercial real estate accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or related experience
  • Six years of commercial insurance industry experience
  • Property and Casualty insurance license
  • Experience marketing and servicing large commercial real estate accounts
  • Considerable knowledge of markets, policies and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced
  • Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload, and to oversee application of work flows and procedures
  • Leadership skills and service and team orientation to provide direction, praise, constructive feedback, and development to employees in a way that maximizes productivity and team morale
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and McGriff teammates
  • Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information, negotiate with markets, obtain commitment or payments due from others, and motivate staff
  • Discretion and problem solving skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness, etc., and to resolve client, market and employee relations problems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel overnight
