Role Overview

Join the Financial Crime Solutions team at Mastercard to build and deliver products and services powered by payments data to find and stop financial crime. As a Data Scientist, you will help build systems that expose money laundering and detect fraud, working in close collaboration with engineering and operations data scientists, sales, consulting, and product teams.

What You Will Do

Directly contribute to project delivery, perform proof-of-concept projects, engage in product design, and build prototypes. Use data science techniques to develop new and novel algorithms to aid existing and new financial crime products.

Requirements

  • Write Python to a high standard and be familiar with standard data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn/xgboost and networkx
  • Develop new algorithms in novel situations and demonstrate previous work to evidence this
  • Communicate with non-tech colleagues about technical matters and be comfortable putting yourself in other people’s shoes
  • Have a can-do attitude, be pragmatic where necessary, and be excited to work as part of a specialist team
