Role Overview

The Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing revenue for the group segment and booking special events. They will analyze current/potential market and sales trends, and develop/maintain knowledge of market trends and competition.

What You Will Do

Develop new accounts, maintain existing accounts, and implement sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and maximize profits for the hotel. Coordinate all activities to maintain and increase revenue and market share through added business volume and rate.

Requirements

  • Developing new accounts, maintain existing accounts and implement sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and maximize profits for the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction.
  • Analyzing current/potential market and sales trends.
  • Coordinating all activities to maintain and increase revenue and market share through added business volume and rate.
  • Ensuring group and events operational procedures are in place and being followed by all team members within the hotel.
  • Developing/maintaining knowledge of market trends and competition to ensure group and event offerings are in-line with the market.
  • Collaborating with Corporate Revenue Management resources to help make informed decisions and maximize revenue.
  • Assisting Director of Sales with developing and implementing hotel specific rooms and events selling strategies.
  • Soliciting new and existing business to meet/exceed revenue goals.
  • Executing and supporting the operational aspects of business booked.
  • Partnering with Director of Revenue and Director of Sales with weekly calls to review and update 30/60/90 day group & events forecasting in order to meet and/or exceed our budgeted goals.
  • Displaying leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying customer service and creating a positive example for guest relations.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with peers and competitors.
  • Completing ongoing sales objectives and action plans as directed by Director of Sales and Corporate Director of Sales.
